New book written by Robert Johnston Sanctification
Jesus proclaimed Peter to be the rock upon which He would build His
church. When we read the stories about Peter in the gospels, we see an
unstable man, not a rock. We see a man who fell asleep when Jesus was
praying, a man who declares himself to be a sinner. We see a man more
interested in his own will than the will of God, prompting the following
rebuke from Jesus:
